TREATMENT OF XANTHELASMA.
Clean and healthy skin
An eyelid xanthelasma is a benign accumulation of fat (cholesterol) that manifests as a yellowish, flattened or slightly raised plaque on the eyelid skin, especially near the tear duct.
Although they are generally not detrimental to visual health, they can be a sign of high blood cholesterol levels or other metabolic disorders such as diabetes.
In our clinic we use cauterization or laser.
